Continued from “The Rift”

I’m learning more control.  I’m learning how to forge with these different colors and tones of metals.  

If I overheat, the metal cracks.  I will need to go back and start again.  

But If I gain control, piece by piece, I could start to bridge the rift.

Piece by piece I build these case studies.  Each is as complex as the surface of my sculpture.  I don’t and won’t attempt to traverse the space between two opinions.  My only job is to report and to dream the possible, in other words, what should have happened and didn’t.    

Someone stronger and better positioned will need to make the bridge
