Water, Water, Everywhere

Continued from “Each Piece Has a Place”


Concrete and more concrete.  We prepare to pour three of the five cats.  


I thought that one of the kidos would come by because he was interested but his family must have been too busy.   



It has been hot, hot, and hot.  


The lake is filled with bath-temperature water.  The old kayak sprang a leak.  


I rush out and purchase a new one in time for the clinic to open.  


Last summer I had to hold Maggie to teach her to move to paddle.  


She is in her element now, singing a round of row, row, row your boat and then, exhausted, passing the paddle to me.   I sing and paddle through a chorus so that she can rest and find a rhythm for rowing.   I return the paddle and she begins again.


Only minimal cuing for posture.  How she is advancing!
